We decided to head south on the Cassiar Highway so we could stop in Stewart and Hyder – what a wonderful time we had traveling this route. Although the road is very narrow and has long patches of gravel, the mountain views more than made up for the bumps. Boya Lake Provincial Park, Mountain Shadow RV Park, and Kinaskan Provincial Park were three fantastic camping spots we explored along the way. We actually include Marsh Lake Provincial Park in our great camping list – although on the Alaskan Highway – it was near the Northern entrance to the Cassiar. Too many fantastic painting spots – this is a must do for anyone heading up/down the Alaska through BC – but stock up on the groceries before you go!
