Tides and Humpbacks

Humpback whales - clearly two of them On this dreary rainy day, the photos are not so bright and cheery, but they do show a couple of interesting features…

Like the two humpback whales that crossed about 300 yards off shore from us. The pictures obviously don’t capture what it was like to see them, but it was cool to watch them repeatedly blow, surface and dive. Hopefully more to come and better pics in future!

We parked at low tide... We hoped this was the highest tide When we parked early Monday morning, the water looked a long way from our campsite. Later that afternoon, it looked alot different! The tide brought 19 feet of water to within just a few feet of our RV.

All the pics of the day are in the album titled 05-25 Ketchikan at right.

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Bezaire!!! It sounds like you are having quite an adventure and your photos are amazing. Thanks for sharing them! Also, Mrs. Bezaire–your paintings are lovely. I especially like the third one in the Northwest album of the Sunken Gardens. I look forward to reading more about your trip and seeing more photos. =)

Hi Anna! It’s always good to hear from you – Rebecca says that your job is going well and that you girls are getting pretty excited about Steve’s upcoming wedding. Thanks for the feedback!
