Spectacle Lake just north of Victoria had just the right range of solitude and quiet activity to keep us happily occupied for a couple of hours. The fisherman floating in the inner tube was successful enough to cause the bald eagle to take notice, so we got to watch as the bird followed him around hoping for a free lunch.
The quiet parade of youngsters and families were a pleasant diversion through the afternoon.
Quite a lovely spot, all the pictures from which are in the album listed at the right as 05-09 Spectacle Lake. I hope you enjoy them!
Look! an eagle! *steals your salmon*
everything looks gorgeous!!
This was a very peaceful spot and I loved painting here – unfortunately I produced a “flinger” (a painting that needs to be tossed as far as possible) that got scraped for another day.
