We practically floated our way from Fairbanks to Denali – the torrential downpour and cool temps made for a dreary morning drive. So I put on one of the CD’s that our daughter Rebecca made for me titled “Get Moving”. What a difference some music made to our morning! It especially perked up driver Dave, so Beck, this video below is especially for you!
Weather seemed more of an issue in Denali than at other times in our travels, perhaps because, for the 1st time on this journey, we were truly camping for 7 days without the use of electricity or water. What can I say – we’ve enjoyed the luxury that “camping” in an RV has given us!
We experienced a few mornings in the high 20’s – which is a bit nippy to say the least when it’s the same temperature inside the RV and out. We weren’t sure how long our propane tank would last and chose to use it just for cooking. What was also amazing was that we beat odds and saw Mt. McKinley on 3 different days! Those clear blue sky days really made the mountains sparkle!

Even though Michael Jackson is no longer with us, we still have David!
