Ahhh… Sunshine!

We knew this trip to the Northwest would mean a wet spring, and true to expectations, we’ve seen about 5 rainy days for every dry one. Of course, we don’t complain. We just enjoy every day despite weather or other factors thrown our way.

Eagle Soaring Nonetheless, we do get excited when the sun finally shines. For instance, while our photos in album 05-11 Wild Pacific Trail were fun, our return to the same spot produced the much more stunning photos in album 05-12 Wild Pacific Trail Sunny that we hope you’ll enjoy even more.

Susi really showed her “sun excitement” yesterday morning — at 5:30 am. Suddenly I was pummeled by an elbow and assaulted by screams of “Get up! Now! It’s a gorgeous morning!”

Sunrise at our Campsite Her excitement was very appropriate, as she translated it into this stunning painting. A bit of it rubbed off on me too as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, and I managed a couple of photos that are in the album called 05-14 To Lillooet at the right.

Here’s our best wishes to all of you that the sun shines brightly on all you do!

    Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for all of your supportive comments! I’m enjoying learning, and I’m glad you’re enjoying them too!

One way we can comment about specific photos would be on Flickr. There is a link on the album pages “View this album on Flickr” that I could make more prominent. I could even mention some of the other additional features that Flickr offers. Good suggestion. I’ll work it in.

    Loved,

    Dave

I do wish there was a way to comment on individual photos in your albums. It would be nice to start dialogues/comments about those specifically. how much more work would that involve for you?

    love you!!

Ok, Terry… the paragraph breaks do seem to show up ok now. I made a little change to the style.css for this theme and that did the trick. Thanks to Google for finding the answer so quickly and easily!

See! There is a blank line before this line because I hit the enter key twice to signify a new paragraph.

Here’s another new paragraph, which should be the third one.

nope. no way. stubborn indeed. I’ll do some research on possibilities for something to make the editor show blank lines between paragraphs.

nope.. no blank line even with two breaks. editor is pretty stubborn indeed.

i put a “p” between <> before this line to see it if gets a new paragraph.

    Hi Terry,

Sorry the paragraphs are lost… not sure why, but I’ll have to check into WordPress to see if there’s anything I can change.

Sounds like some exciting building! Especially after our office work in Mississippi, it must feel good to see houses going up again! I’m a bit green with envy, and will eagerly look forward to getting back into it in the Fall.

Best to you and Sue in all!

    Dave

You are absolutely right about the effects of the sun on the pictures.

We have finally got consturction under way in full swing here in Columbus.

The new truss systems are really nice. Particularly when putting down the deck. You have three inches to hit rather than the 1 1/2 inch and you don’t have the offsets. Also the basements are huge with out the beam and posts.

Glat to see you enjoying your trip. Keep up the good work. Makes me wish Sue and I were there. Looking forward to all the comming posts. Rest assured I will not miss any of them.

    Thanks
