The tour was very pleasant on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allenmarinetours.com\/sightseeing\/ketchikan\/tours\/fjord-wilderness\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Allen Marine&#8217;s<\/a> speedy new aluminum catamaran that cruises at 38 mph across the scenic Revillagigedo Channel to reach the calm &#8220;canal&#8221; of the fjord. There the captain showed-off his ship&#8217;s maneuverability and the steepness of the cliffs by &#8220;hovering&#8221; the 100-foot craft within feet of the waterfalls.<\/p>\n<p>Although the day started like many here &#8212; pouring rain &#8212; it was dry by time we reached the fjord and despite the cloudy, gray conditions we took a few nice pictures that you will find in the album titled <a title=\"05-26 Misty Fjord\" href=\"..\/flickrphotos\/album\/72157618815403545\/2009-05-26.html\">05-26 Misty Fjord<\/a> at right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The sea filled the bottom third of this narrow, glacier-carved canyon leaving Misty Fjord with its snow-capped cliffs soaring 3,ooo feet and spewing magnificent falls of spring melt water.
