An explosion of color awaits as bed after bed overflows with tulips, daffodils, rododendrum, and so many more I can&#8217;t begin to know.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"oy tt-flickr tt-flickr tt-flickr-Thumbnail\" title=\"View across the bay (HDR)\" href=\"https:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3406\/3517462742_de848ca8dc_z.jpg?zz=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"HDR Image\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3406\/3517462742_de848ca8dc_t.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"View across the bay (HDR)\" width=\"66\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a> Especially fun was a first try at HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography which combines several exposures of the same scene shot at different shutter speed to enhance detail across a wide range from brightest highlights to deepest shadows. Seeing details simultaneously in the flowers, the reflections on the water, the large evergreen trees and the distant sky was quite an &#8220;aha!&#8221; moment for me.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you enjoy the entire album which is listed as <a href=\"https:\/\/bezaires.com\/blog\/flickrphotos\/album\/72157617926839744\/\/2009-05-08.html\">05-08 Butchart Gardens<\/a> in the right sidebar. Not all of the photos were from the gardens, however.
