<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n It was a nice surprise this morning to find we were about 30ft from the shore of a reservoir. Susi grabbed her paints and Dave, his camera, to record the sunrise reflections on the water as the fog burned off.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n As the temperature warmed, the residents came out to see our funny car, study the tow bar, and find out what Susi called the 4W\u2019s (Weather trends! Who are you? Where you from? <\/a> We were one hour away from Camp Coast Care, our final destination in Long Beach, Mississippi. We found a campground listed that really turned out to be a park where most of the visitors were living or long term — and, it seems, where quite a few of the residents are alcoholics. Since it gets dark so early, we just plopped down, ate and crashed for the night<\/span><\/p>\n<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> The compound, nestled in a wooded area, has multiple structures on it, including a big dormitory for transient volunteer groups, tool and building supply sheds, stacks of lumber, a 5 double-wide trailers used for offices, and 6 (including ours) RV\u2019s. Three of the RV\u2019s are used by staff. Not the most scenic spot, but quiet, 2 miles from the coast and 15 minutes away from the Habitat office.<\/span><\/p>\n
